Just six more points will see Celtic crowned champions of Scotland for the 13th time in 14 years.
That's after yet another home implosion from Rangers, who went down 2-0 to Hibs on Saturday.
That means the title part planning can begin later today should the Hoops come out on top at McDiarmid Park.
St Johnstone, however, could be forgiven for being resigned to their fate.
Wins on Saturday for both Dundee and Kilmarnock leave Simo Valakari's side nine points from guaranteed safety and given they shipped six the last time the Hoops were in town, it could be a tough afternoon for the hosts.
Brendan Rodgers will want the job done with a minimum of fuss in order to make next weekend's celebrations a possibility, setting them up nicely for a Scottish Cup semi-final crack at the same opponents on Easter Sunday.
His players returned to winning ways against Hearts last weekend after having the international break to stew on their Old Firm derby loss to Rangers.
That seems to be well and truly out of the system now though, and they can prove it with another convincing victory in Perth today.

One change for Rodgers

There's just the one change for Celtic after last week's Hearts stroll and that sees Auston Trusty return to the heart of defence to partner his USA international team-mate Cameron Carter-Vickers, while Maik Nawrocki drops to the bench.
It's a welcome return for the former Arsenal youngster, who's also celebrating his recent marriage, and Brendan Rodgers will be delighted to have his full-strength central defensive partnership fit and raring to go for the final few games as the title closes in.
Rodgers has spoken previously of preferring to have a left-footed centre-half on that side of the pitch.
I do always prefer where I can a left-footed centre-half on that side, in all honesty, because that allows you to get through the pitch quicker and have more speed playing forward

Business time

You know for certain you’ve reached the business end of any Scottish football season when the clocks go forward and you start to start seeing light at the end of the tunnel, and indeed at the end of the day, and Celtic now know that they can wrap up a fourth league title in a row next Saturday in front of a jubilant home crowd against Kilmarnock after ropey Rangers failed to show for their 3pm appointment with in-form Hibs in Govan yesterday.
This is quite the carrot for these Celtic players to turn up and put bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone to the sword this lunchtime, with Daizen Maeda already reckoning that today's match ball has his name on it.
For the Japanese star and his team-mates, their final two games before the split couldn’t be summed up better than when New Zealand's fourth best folk guitar-based jazz, techno, hip-hop duo - the Flight of the Conchords - so eloquently stated ‘I know what you’re trying to say, you’re trying to say it’s time for business, it’s business time, ooh’.

Ropey Rangers still causing Celtic concern - Hugh Keevins
Rangers' Jekyll and Hyde season has lurched from domestic embarrassment to borderline European arrogance, but the dramatically inconsistent Light Blues can still cause their old rivals concerns, according to Hugh Keevins.
Veteran pundit Hugh Keevins, writing in his latest Record Sport column, says:
In between times, there is not a Celtic-supporting man, woman or child who wishes Rangers anything other than ill-fortune in Europe.
It is at times like this that the well-intentioned talk about the good that would be done to Scotland’s place in the European co-efficient table if Rangers triumphed.
They need to be taken quietly to one side and educated in the facts of life. Street life.
National prestige is for other countries to think about, not this one. Rangers’ continued presence in the Europa League is a source of concern for the Celtic support.

Celtic must avoid same sales mistakes - Sutton
Celtic have made some stellar transfer moves in recent years and must curb the urge to cash in on their top striker this summer, according to one of their former sharp-shooters.
Former Hoops hero Chris Sutton, writing in his latest Record Sport column, reckons the Hoops have, in Daizen Maeda, one of their best bargain buys since club legends Lubo Moravcik and Henrik Larsson and has urged the board to hang fire on a quick sale of the Japanese frontman.
You can’t keep selling all of your good players. At some point you have to try to keep hold of them and allow the manager to build.
Letting Maeda go now – when he has hit top form – would be ridiculous. Celtic have already let one top striker go in Kyogo – which was a mistake from all parties, as far as I am concerned.
They can’t afford to do it again. Everything might be pretty rosy for Celtic on and off the pitch but this is a huge summer ahead.

Boyd's title party plan

Kris Boyd has joked he'll be running away from Glasgow ahead of next week's potential title party at Celtic Park.
The Hoops are just two wins away from being crowned four-in-a-row champions after Hibs' victory at Ibrox consigned crisis-hit Rangers to their FIFTH home defeat on the bounce.
Celts travel to St Johnstone on Sunday before hosting Kilmarnock next weekend and maximum points from both games would see them secure a 55th league crown in front of a sold-out Parkhead.
The possible title-clincher will be beamed live on Sky Sports but Boyd has unsurprisingly arranged other plans - choosing to escape down south to join Paul Merson and Co. on Soccer Saturday instead.

Date for the diary

The title race has been over bar the shouting for months. But Celtic can officially be crowned champions of Scotland NEXT week.
The Hoops are on the verge of clinching their 55th top-flight title, putting them level on league crowns with Rangers.
And after their crisis-hit rivals crashed to a FIFTH successive defeat at Ibrox on Saturday, it means Celts will secure four-in-a-row if they win their next two games.
Hibs' stunning 2-0 triumph in Govan means victories away to St Johnstone on Sunday and at home to Kilmarnock next weekend will ensure the championship is wrapped up before the split.

Engels on Raskin rivalry

Arne Engels insists there’s NO personal rivalry between him and Nico Raskin when it comes to getting in Belgium’s squad – because they’re totally different players.
The Celtic midfielder says he wants to see both of them in the national team – even though they’re on opposite sides of
Glasgow’s Old Firm divide.
Rangers ace Raskin earned a call-up last time out but Engels already has four caps under his belt. The pair were team-mates for Belgium’s Under-21 side and Engels sees no reason why they can’t cement a place in Rudi Garcia’s squad.
